– IMPORTANT! DUE TO ISSUES WITH RODS BEING “LOST” IN THE POST TOO OFTEN GLEN HAS SADLY DECIDED IT’S COSTING HIM TOO MUCH TIME AND MONEY SO HE’S STOPPED PRODUCING THE RODS –
There is another potential supplier of a similar rod and you can find out more details here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2048016
If you want to balance your Phantom 2 Vision props then Glen Edwards has come up trumps with some beautifully machined rods that fit the props beautifully and will enable you to check the balance. He kindly sent me one to try out and I found out that of my three full sets of official DJI Vision props about 50% of the props were out of balance…
If you don’t own a prop balancer then I’ve come up with a method that seems to work reasonably well without going out to buy one, and was inspired by a little glass of something one evening…
To order one of Glen’s balancing rods at £13 each plus postage (at genuine cost) please email email@example.com He’s happy to ship internationally and will have his first batch of these ready to go on 13th January, although half the first batch is already taken, so first-come-first-serve on the remainders. If it proves popular he will get some more made up I’m sure.
DISCLOSURE: Glen sent me one of his rods to try for free, thank you Glen. However he has not had any say in the production of this video, nor I have pre-released it to him. This video is my honest opinion on his product and not a commercial endorsement – I’m not even getting a percentage, the swine. 😉 There are some other ways of balancing your Vision props, so research and pick the best method for you balancing cost, convenience and your DIY skills.
