Back to the kitchen table again for a look at how I balanced the Rotorpixel brushless gimbal for the DJI Phantom 2 Vision. Now this is my first brushless gimbal, so what I’ve done is based purely on my own research and isn’t meant to be the “official” or indeed necessarily only way to do this, but I believe I’ve got the fundamentals right.
2 axis gimbals on quadcopter drones need neutral balance, not centre balance – so I show you what that means and how to get it. I also give a bit more of a close up of the camera mount itself as people have seen it’s different to the prototype and a demonstration of how easy or otherwise it is to remove the camera.
