A video using the Phantom 2 H3-3D for the aerial shots of a private mini-festival we have every year – Walfest! This is a first attempt at combining aerial with ground footage and editing to music to tell a story of our great 4 days camping with over 70 close friends. 🙂 Highlights include Dads v Kids football match, launching air-powered paper rockets, MUD!, views from 400ft above the campsite including Farmoor Reservoir and general revelry.
The full aerial rig was a DJI Phantom 2, Zenmuse H3-3D 3-axis brushless camera gimbal, GoPro Hero 3 Silver (180p/24 frames), DJI AVL58 video tx, Flysight Black Pearl video monitor with VRx, Horizon FPV Antennas Black Pearl antenna kit (including Nimrod aircraft VTx antenna). Edited on linux using OpenShot.

My “On the Kitchen Table” videos are mainly aimed at newcomers to multirotors, quadcopters, drones and UAVs, particularly to the DJI product range, and the Phantom line in particular. I have how to’s, product reviews, tips, tricks, hints and information for beginners and those in the early stages of the hobby. I film “on the kitchen table” to show people that, like me, you don’t need a workshop and an array of specialist equipment and years of experience to get started and progress with flying these amazing aircraft and enjoying making great aerial videos and stills. So if you have bought, or are thinking of buying, a DJI Phantom, Phantom FC40, Phantom 2, Phantom 2 Vision or Vision+ or Plus, or even building your own DJI Flamewheel F450 or F550, we can do it… on the kitchen table!
