Epson Moverio FPV glasses/goggles for Phantom Vision Plus, FC40

July 12, 2014

A brief look at a potential FPV solution for the DJI Phantom Vision, Vision Plus and FC40 – android-powered, see-through glasses/goggles that will run the app natively. http://www.prelaunch.com/brands/epson/products/smartglasses-fpv?afmc=ua2kzFYhc5uybl3TrzJRiA

I spotted these online and thought they might provide a good FPV solution for those who run the Vision app and don’t like the glare they get on their smartphone or tablet, but who also don’t want the disorientation of fully immersive FPV goggles. These allow you to keep visual with your aircraft whilst simultaneously seeing the phone preview apparently floating in front of them about 80″ across! With clip in non-prescription lenses for light or dark conditions together with a frame you can mount prescription lenses to, these glasses complete with Android 4.04 touchpad controller will also allow you to watch movies on Netflix and use other Android apps. Might be worth a look if you’ve been looking for a goggles / glasses solution to flying the Vision, Vision+ or FC40…

My “On the Kitchen Table” videos are mainly aimed at newcomers to multirotors, quadcopters, drones and UAVs, particularly to the DJI product range, and the Phantom line in particular. I have how to’s, product reviews, tips, tricks, hints and information for beginners and those in the early stages of the hobby. I film “on the kitchen table” to show people that, like me, you don’t need a workshop and an array of specialist equipment and years of experience to get started and progress with flying these amazing aircraft and enjoying making great aerial videos and stills. So if you have bought, or are thinking of buying, a DJI Phantom, Phantom FC40, Phantom 2, Phantom 2 Vision or Vision+ or Plus, or even building your own DJI Flamewheel F450 or F550, we can do it… on the kitchen table!
