Getting set up for the Flytrex Live live flight – follow the flight with live overlay and telemetry from 14:00GMT today at http://www.flytrex.com/simon.newton.5201/live/ from Blewburton Hill, Iron Age hill fort in southern Oxfordshire, UK.
Weather looks good, so here’s a quick look at the area I’ll be flying in later – I geotagged this video so you can see exactly where we’ll be if you are one of the people who’ve said they might join Tom, Daisy and I. As well as the Vision with the Flytrex Live on board and Rotorpixel gimbal we might bring along the F450 for a blitz around. If you want to leave comments during the live telemetry flight then you can do so on this video and I’ll try and answer any questions during battery changes!
My “On the Kitchen Table” videos are mainly aimed at newcomers to multirotors, quadcopters, drones and UAVs, particularly to the DJI product range, and the Phantom line in particular. I have how to’s, product reviews, tips, tricks, hints and information for beginners and those in the early stages of the hobby. I film “on the kitchen table” to show people that, like me, you don’t need a workshop and an array of specialist equipment and years of experience to get started and progress with flying these amazing aircraft and enjoying making great aerial videos and stills. So if you have bought, or are thinking of buying, a DJI Phantom, Phantom FC40, Phantom 2, Phantom 2 Vision or Vision+ or Plus, or even building your own DJI Flamewheel F450 or F550, we can do it… on the kitchen table!
