First look – DJI Phantom V2 upgrade motors, ESCs and props for Vision+ and P2!

November 7, 2014

Thanks to DJI I’ve been sent pre-release versions of the new upgraded power systems for the Phantom 2 and Vision+. Here’s a first look and you need to tell me what to fit them to…

DJI have just sent them “as is” – I believe just off the production line of the new V2 Phantom 2 and V2 Vision+. So there’s no retail packaging or instructions. I have no idea when these will be available for sale to original Phantom 2 and Vision+ owners but I intend to test out how difficult the upgrade process is for someone like me with only basic soldering skills and what the performance is like.

My “On the Kitchen Table” videos are mainly aimed at newcomers to multirotors, quadcopters, drones and UAVs, particularly to the DJI product range, and the Phantom line in particular. I have how to’s, product reviews, tips, tricks, hints and information for beginners and those in the early stages of the hobby. I film “on the kitchen table” to show people that, like me, you don’t need a workshop and an array of specialist equipment and years of experience to get started and progress with flying these amazing aircraft and enjoying making great aerial videos and stills. So if you have bought, or are thinking of buying, a DJI Phantom, Phantom FC40, Phantom 2, Phantom 2 Vision or Vision+ or Plus, or even building your own DJI Flamewheel F450 or F550, we can do it… on the kitchen table!
