My “On the Kitchen Table” videos are mainly aimed at newcomers to multirotors, quadcopters, drones and UAVs, particularly to the DJI product range, and the Phantom line in particular. I have how to’s, product reviews, tips, tricks, hints and information for beginners and those in the early stages of the hobby. I film “on the kitchen table” to show people that, like me, you don’t need a workshop and an array of specialist equipment and years of experience to get started and progress with flying these amazing aircraft and enjoying making great aerial videos and stills. So if you have bought, or are thinking of buying, a DJI Phantom 3, Phantom 2, Phantom 2 Vision or Vision+ or Plus, Inspire 1 or even building your own DJI Flamewheel F450 or F550, or considering the Lily, 3DR Solo, Yuneec or more then you too can do it… on the kitchen table!

Hi Simon, Not quite sure if this is the correct way to enter the Bepop competition, I also put an entry on your main page.
This video clip is a very small extract from a full length video that I make for students at Scottsdale High School on the Survival Camp. This year was a bit special for me as this is the 40th anniversary of when I started the camp in 1975 and my grandson was on this camp as well.
With the development of drone technology we can now capture the essence of the camp in a more dramatic way. If I was lucky enough to win the competition I would donate the drone to the Scottsdale High School students so they could continue to take footage of their camps and learn about the procedures and skills in safely using this new technology.
Cheers and thanks again for a very informative site.
I have just bought a Phantom 3 and busily do mods so that it will be easier to take smooth video and photos. I have suggested to DJI that they consider adding the ability to simulataneously take photos and video while flying, something I do with my Phantom 2 and GoPro 4. It takes a photo every 5 secs while shooting 1080p video, but this can be modified. It only works with 1080P 25 frames/sec. but it is very useful.

At an event last week and saw a drone flying for the first time, i thought it was one of the coolest things. I love my gadgets and after a bit of googling when i got home i came across this site and saw a competition to win a parrot bebop drone. Im off on a family holiday with the wife and kids late august visiting my sister in Niagara and NYC. It would be great to take a drone with me to capture some great footage, this is my video entry to win one. Im not the most artistic of people but im an engineer so stuck to what i know, this is also my first time editing a video

    Hi, Simon.

We are based in Manila, Philippines, and we think it’s awesome that you are giving away a drone. I want to win this drone for my husband, who is a drone hobbyist and a professional video journalist. He has used drones to document important topics, such as environmental degradation and surveys of disaster areas. A year ago, he lost his most prized drone in the South China Sea while shooting a scientific dive expedition. While it was a sad loss for him, it has not diminished his fascination with drones. So me and my kids have put together a video compilation that we think is worthy of winning your drone for him.

    Here’s our links:

And thanks again for the chance to compete for the drone!
